DANCING WITH STRESS
Tune into the energy of stress. Gaze deeply into it and witness its dancing, leaping motions. Stress is not static. It is constantly in motion, constantly leaping from one place to the next. And when you begin to get curious and patient with stress- for one cannot be patient without curiosity, nor curious without patience- you may notice something interesting: The stress you once mistook to be who you are is actually who you once believed yourself to be, and is now actively dancing its way out of your energy field. So let it dance! For the more freely it is allowed to dance, the quicker it will get the message that it is safe to leave, now that you are no longer equating it with who you believe yourself to be.
In truth, you are never who you believe yourself to be. To reduce your magnificence down to a dense little thing called a belief is to commit a form of psychic bullying against yourself. “I’m nothing more than a ______”, filling in the blank with whatever it is that you think you are, is one of the meanest things you can say to yourself, even if you fill that blank in with something “positive.”
Who you are in your fullness can never be reduced down to any belief. You are far vaster than the limited boundaries of thought. Each belief is but a drop in the splendor of your oceanic presence. Dissolve each drop- be it stress, sadness, depression, hopelessness, confusion, doubt, even happiness, joy, bliss, peace, confidence- in the infinitude of your ocean, and know that all is well. Not as a belief, but as an utterly obvious, viscerally felt intimacy with the heart of the Truth that you are, never were not, and shall always be.
