What Happens When Suffering Ends?
What happens when suffering ends? Life truly begins. Not the life of the ego, which is concerned with having only the experiences in the exact order that they never happen in, but the life of Consciousness, which is concerned only with being alive, here and now, and contributing its eternal light to the experience it is currently having in time and space.
Consciousness has no need to pick and choose experiences in this moment, because it knows that whatever experience it is having is the experience that it is called to transform into its highest possible expression of perfection and wholeness. It trusts that its energy draws in the precise experiences that are a vibrational match to the perfection of its journey. It never denies, fights, argues with, or negotiates with what is already so in this moment, because the tendency to see this moment as something other than exactly what is needed has been extinguished thoroughly and completely.
The joy that is realized through Consciousness, when it moves freely without the burden of egoic programming weighing it down, is literally unbelievable. It is not the time-bound “joy” of this world, which is a temporary flash of pleasure that dissolves almost as suddenly as it arises. The joy of Consciousness is not something that comes and goes. It is the essence of the eternal Being that you are.
Humans still operating from the egoic mode are also this eternal joy, but the density of their conditioning and unconscious programming is obscuring who they are, and thus they have an experience of being unable to tap into causeless, effortless joy. But just as the weather conditions can never destroy the sky and the waves can never destroy the ocean, unconscious programming can never destroy Consciousness; all it can ever do is temporarily obscure its power and brilliance.
We are all the power and brilliance of pure Consciousness, and we are living in a time where a significant percentage of the global population is waking up to that. What a glorious moment in human history to be alive. And if you look around and see the world falling apart and think that this planet is doomed, that’s okay. The old must crumble catastrophically and completely in order to make room for the new. The world as we previously knew it, the psychological world of the suffering separate self, is dying an excruciating death. And we have the opportunity to face this excruciating death fully and completely, and in so doing enter a doorway into a brand-new world, where all beings have access to the eternal joy of being, are given all that they need to express their gifts at full capacity, and contribute their essential music to the grand symphony of our collective One Life.
This is not Pollyanna naïve optimism; this is reality. And reality is not constrained by any belief in optimism or pessimism. Don’t believe these words if you don’t believe them. Don’t cling to the hope that you feel when you believe these words if you do believe them. Simply notice what these words open up for your within yourself, and they bring you closer to a sense of peace, ease, and lightness, they have done their job. And if they don’t resonate, you can safely discard them. Your experience is never wrong for the journey you traverse. You are always exactly, precisely where you need to be in order to be guided back home to your eternal Consciousness. You are loved beyond belief and disbelief.
Peace to all. Now, now, always only Now.
