Give Up Trying To Create Your Reality

If you spend enough time in spiritual circles, you will inevitably hear talk of manifestation, which can be defined as an attempt to impose your personal will on the universe to attract experiences into your life that you believe will lead to greater fulfillment and happiness.

While there is nothing inherently wrong with such attempts, ultimately all efforts in the direction of creating your reality fail, or at the very least don’t end up satisfying you. You may spend a lot of personal energy and time “attracting” a new relationship or car into your life, and you may enjoy those new creations. But at the end of the day, you will still feel like something is missing, and you’ll crave even more experiences that you’ll convince yourself are the source of your wellbeing.

Why does this happen? Well, it’s actually quite simple: You don’t actually want ANY of the objects or experiences you believe you want. Not truly. In the core of your being, in your deepest essence, all you want is to be the presence of love, for that is what you truly are. All of your worldly desires stem from that one prime spiritual desire.

You only believe that the objects and experiences you are attempting to manifest are your true desires when you are overlooking the fact that everything in this physical realm comes and goes. Everything you attract will one day leave. That is simply the nature of this realm. You cannot tie your wellbeing to physical experiences; rather, your wellbeing must flow from that which does not come and go, the pure silence of your loving heart.

So give up all efforts to manifest, or create, your reality. Ultimately, everything you experience is here to remind you of your prime desire to be love. Cut out the middleman and go straight to what you truly want! Don’t walk around saying to yourself “Yeah, yeah, all I want is to be the presence of love... but I’ll get to that after ________ manifests in my life.” You’ll never get to true fulfillment if your consciousness is occupied by any degree of waiting for something to happen for you. True fulfillment is only found in the willingness to offer your loving presence to this exact moment of space-time.

Feel free to put this to the test, and attempt to manifest whatever dream you are convinced will ensure your happiness. And when inevitably it doesn’t satisfy you, remember your prime desire. Say to yourself “I only want what I want because I think it will give me what I truly want. What I truly want is to be love.”

In the old paradigm of spirituality, manifestation is a desperate attempt to CREATE reality, which will never truly satisfy us. In the new paradigm, we awaken from all dreams by loving our hearts, so that we may clear the inner space to authentically RECEIVE what has already been created in full consciousness, knowing that whatever manifests is only serving you in dissolving all barriers to your prime desire to be love.
